LET’S START WITH THE PERSONAL - TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF

I was born in Melbourne and moved to Inverloch to raise my two beautiful sons.

I’m often asked if I know how to sit still. I enjoy being active by playing basketball, running, coaching my sons Auskick and leading their Scout pack. My biggest personal achievement was completing my first half marathon earlier this year.

WHAT’S YOUR CURRENT WATER CORPORATION ROLE?

I’m currently Acting General Manager Operations at South Gippsland Water. I’ve been in the role for five months and was previously the Maintenance and Service Delivery Manager for two years.

WHAT’S YOUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND?

I’m a qualified civil engineer with 20 years’ experience in infrastructure and strategic asset management. I have led a diverse range of departments across local government and the water industry. I’m passionate about developing people and organisational culture to deliver optimal outcomes for our communities.

WHAT DO YOU DO EACH DAY?

I manage service delivery to our customers. I oversee the operation and maintenance of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants and water and wastewater networks.

WHY DID YOU JOIN IWN?

I joined in March 2022 because I’m passionate about innovation, collaboration and developing others and wanted to contribute more broadly to the water industry.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE WITH THE NEW ALUMNI PROGRAM?

I want to create a space for the powerful network of IWN alumni to remain connected. A space where people can keep up-to-date with insights and trials and access cutting-edge research, mentoring, learning and career opportunities within our industry.

On a personal level, I want to connect, learn and share learnings from existing and emerging innovators in the industry.

WHAT GETS YOU OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING?

I am motivated by helping people be the best version of themselves, both personally and professionally.
