DIGITAL METERING RISK ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
During 2016, Intelligent Water Networks (IWN) developed a Digital Metering Risk Assessment Tool for use by water corporations in the preparation of business cases for implementation of digital metering.
An expert consultant was engaged in 2016 to undertake a technology agnostic risk assessment including an analysis of the risks of not installing digital meters.
Through a series of risk assessment workshops – the team identified risks and mitigation options and determine the residual risks.
The information from all the workshops has been incorporated into the interactive risk assessment tool which IWN members will be able to use to assist with business case preparations for their own digital metering projects.
The Digital Metering Risk Assessment tool is now available on request to IWN.
Virginia Collins from Yarra Valley Water managed the project and working cooperatively with the IWN Program Delivery Group to deliver this risk assessment tool.
